In 1990 he was admitted through the National Examinations to the School of Health Professions of the Technical Educational Institute of Larissa, Department of Medical Laboratories. In 1994, he enrolled to the School of Medicine of the University of Varna, Bulgaria and graduated in 2000. He completed his military service in the Hellenic Air Force from 200 to 2003. He completed his Rural Medical Service in the Health Centre of Velestino from 2003 to 2004. During the academic year 2004-2005, he worked as an Instructor at the Vocational Training Institute for Nurses of Volos. From 2005 to 2006, he was a Resident in Surgery at the Hospital of Katerini. He started his specialization in Urology in 2006 at the ‘Theagenion’ Cancer Hospital of Thessaloniki and finished in 2010 at the University Hospital of Larissa. He actively participated in all the educational activities of the Clinic, taking active part in 4 research protocols. He trained in Photodynamic Cystoscopy at the LMU University Hospital of Munich. He completed the postgraduate courses of the School of Medicine of Larissa (University of Thessaly) and he is a PhD candidate at the School of Medicine of the University of Thessaly on “The contribution of Photodynamics in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer of the transitional epithelium of the urinary bladder”. He has published articles and made paper presentations within the context of Greek conferences and journals, communications at international conferences and two international publications. He gained the title of Fellow of European Board of Urology in 2011. The same year he obtained from the Ministry of Health through examinations the licence to perform Ultrasounds of the urinary system. He is a Scientific Research Associate of the University Urology Clinic of Larissa and runs a private Urology Clinic in Volos.
