She studied Psychology (BSc (hons)) at the University of Teesside, UK, from where she graduated in 2002. During her studies she developed a special interest in Counselling and Psychotherapy. She worked as a volunteer for a short period at the Hospital of Volos as an Assistant Psychologist. She then pursued her post-graduate studies in Counselling and more particularly in the Humanistic Treatment Model at the University of Durham, U.K. From there she graduated in 2004 with the title of MA Counselling studies. She then worked voluntarily in the adult group of the ARSIS Association, an NGO for the Social Support of Youth, Thessaloniki. At the same time, she attended a course of seminars of the Gestalt psychotherapy approach at the Gestalt Foundation of Thessaloniki. From March 2005 until March 2007, she trained in Systemic Therapy and Counselling at the Systemic Institute of Thessaloniki. Since November 2005 she has been working as a paid Scientific Associate at the Unit for the Study of Urological Diseases (USUD) of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Initially, she participated in a large Epidemiological Study of the Centre (HOPES) in patients who visited the “Papageorgiou” General Hospital. Since 2007 she has participated in campaigns for awareness-raising and public support on issues of Sexual and Reproductive Health and also as a Coordinator in more than 10 international multicenter studies. She has one publication in an international scientific journal and conference papers. From August 2011 onwards, she has been the Coordinator of the ISUD educational activities (Institute for the Study of Urological Studies). At the same time, from May 2009 onwards, she runs a private practice as a Psychologist and Mental Health Counsellor in Kalamaria, Thessaloniki.
